Photographer, filmmaker, and PAX enthusiast Mo Alcaraz can usually be found adventuring in the outdoors. Born in Southern California and living in Oakland, the California lifestyle runs deeply, as you can see through his images on Instagram.
This is what it’s like to live a day in his #PAXlife.
What should everyone try at least once in their life?
A 10-day meditation course! It's so worth it to yourself, and those around you, to spend a few days out of your entire life to look inward to really understand what makes you...you.
What is on your bucket list?
Motorcycle the perimeter of Great Britain.
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
"Please secure the oxygen mask around your face before assisting others." AKA, the most effective way to help others is to make sure you’re good, grounded, and healthy, otherwise you’re only compounding the problem.
Do you have any heroes?
My heroes are the ones who serve in their own communities; those who will never have the spotlight, but continue working for us and our children.
What is on your bookshelf?
Currently reading The Quantum and the Lotus an intersection of Buddhist philosophy, and how it continues to align with new scientific discoveries in the quantum physics world.
What is on your perennial to-do list?
I’d like to take a solid portrait for each of my friends. Not just any, but one that captures who they are.
What is your greatest indulgence?
Usually, a cheeseburger, animal style, extra everything, and a well-packed PAX!
What makes you happiest?
A sunny day out on the beach/lake/river, music jammin', friends laughin', and my PAX in Party Mode.
Do you have any quotes to live by?
"Be who you needed when you were younger."
Who do you follow on Twitter?
@kimkierkegaard is a mashup of philosopher Kierkegaard with observations of K-dash.
