Tens of thousands of people stormed downtown Las Vegas for the first annual Life is Beautiful Festival on October 26-27. Fifteen blocks of music, food, art and learning events transformed the downtown into an eclectic mix of people, bright lights and good times - five music stages, an entire culinary village, an alchemy garden, 3D murals, food truck alleys, and more. Ploom set up shop backstage with Brooklyn Bowl, where talent could play at a fully functional bowling alley during breaks from shows. Guests sampled Ploom with some tasty beverages in hand courtesy of Wirtz Beverages. Some of Ploom's favorite moments included Childish Gambino's rendition of Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" and Beck's infamous cover of "Billie Jean." Hot new band Haim packed the Huntridge stage at their first Las Vegas show, and Empire of the Sun thrilled the crowd with a guitar-smashing stunt onstage in homage of Lou Reed. Capping the weekend was a three-hour performance by hometown legends The Killers. Thanks Life Is Beautiful and Brooklyn Bowl - we'll see you next year!
